What is your favorite workout right now, and why?
Kickboxing, Grappling, MMA
Kickboxing has always been my favorite kind of training because it’s not only physical but also very mental. I feel like I am meditating and training in the same time. Martial arts is a never ending process and there’s always space for improvement. I set new goals and train for them- and after 15 years it is still challenging.
Grappling and MMA training are new for me so there is plenty to learn and to improve at. I love to learn new techniques and face new challenges in training and sparring.)
Functional Training, Athletic training
I’ve always used strength and conditioning training as well as athletic training to improve in martial arts. My motivation wasn’t the optic, it was always the function of my body. I’ve always tried to become stronger, faster and to get more endurance for fighting. Now being a trainer myself I can write my training plans with more expertise and knowledge but the goals haven’t change...!
Bouldering, Ninja courses and Calisthenics
I added new goals to my list such as upper body strength and grip strength for the Ninja Warrior courses and bouldering. I use classic strength training methods to become stronger but I fell in love in bouldering and really enjoy every session in the climbing gym. Learning new techniques and seeing the progress is very addictive. Training on actual ninja obstacles is just pure fun but in the same time very hard training.
Why AD3 Fitness?
High quality trainers and great atmosphere. Active and balanced lifestyle is the key to health and AD3 is spreading the same message to their clients as I do as a trainer. I am more than happy to be able to join AD3 for the training retreat(s?).
Do you have a story from working out with us?
Not yet, but stay tuned!
What would be typical “you” outside of work/training?
“Me” outside of work is still very active. It’s either spending time in the nature with my dog, sitting in the sun and reading, hiking, bouldering or meeting other ninjas for some fun sessions.
At home I love to cook and bake... and have some good food with my friends or family and a glass of wine.
You can also see me at the movies eating a big bag of popcorn or catch me dancing all night.
What is your goal for 2020?
Hit the buzzer on Ninja Warrior
Learn how to surf
Get back to fighting with a healthy wrist (Natalia injured her wrist participating in Ninja Warriors Poland 2019).
